Thousands of people entered and our cost was a day’s salary. An old widow won him and she had him doing little odd chores about the house all day while she made him tea and sandwiches and had a good old natter. I think it made her year, but it got us a great deal of goodwill and good publicity.

You could offer badges, coupons and novelties as lesser prizes

Send out Christmas cards and promotional calendars to past and potential clients. A calendar will keep your name before someone’s eyes all year around.

You could offer free talks on the key features of your business. If you could talk at the community hall for thirty minutes, you could take questions and answers later on. Try the local Womens’ Institute.

The frequency of these events does not matter as much as their helping one and all in building togetherness.

Help My Blind Brother Out:

This interesting group activity gives each member in a group a opportunity to feel the benefits of group synergy and instills a cooperative spirit in each member of the group with the lesson that cooperation assists in the fulfillment of greater goals.

The members are first divided into two equal groups. Some random items like a seat, table, a ball, and bucket should be strewn about the room. The two classes stand on opposite sides and one member from every group is blindfolded.

The two blindfolded members have to get to the other side without bumping into any of the objects scattered around or the blindfolded member of the other group.

The other team members help their blindfolded member in the pursuit by giving directions and hints. A point is awarded for each successful attempt and the team getting the most points wins.

This activity has been very functional for extended families in getting to know more about the activities that the children and other new family members enjoy doing. It proves really helpful in family reunions to help everybody get to know each other better.

All the members of the extended family stand in a circle and every one takes a turn to demonstrate what they like to do through actions, this carries on until he or she is correctly told what the actions depict. This could also be played with a variation where a favourite animal or food is portrayed and guesses have to be made.

This activity has helped numerous individuals realize that most of them ultimately had lots of common likes and dislikes and helped others play a function in encouraging each other to carry out the things they always wished to.

Building a Family Bond

Anger is a feeling that we all have to cope with. Since that first lie, the world has become more chaotic and continues to worsen as the years roll by. We can examine how a lie can instigate anger by looking at one individual scenario. That person engaged in criminal activities, like stealing, writing bad checks, and selling prescription medications. Now that person had to embroider lying into the picture, since she felt that her behaviour and actions were only a means of survival.

So, she started lying to cover up her crimes. As time went by, she became angry and could not cope, solely as a result of her under-developed anger management technique, the way she was behaving, her way of thinking, and the rest. The person began to act as anyone else suffering from uncontrolled anger would act.

This included, putting others down, insulting others, verbally and physically assaulting, threatening, belittling and mocking others. The woman was diagnosed with a mental disorder, Post traumatic Stress Disorder and Bipolar. She also had health issues, including diabetes. Now if we examine all the aspects of that person’s anger and her anger management technique, we can see, if we search deep enough, that her lying, which caused paranoia, was the root cause of her behavioral problems.

A lot of people have a problem with their anger management technique. Many of the people with post-traumatic stress disorder react angrily because they are reacting to a flashback in memory. That is right! People with post traumatic stress disorder often suppress their emotions and when they are violent or angered, it is often the result of fighting the sources that caused their trauma and not the person in their immediate presence.

But, we do not see this as the cause for the woman’s anger, since she did not make the problem public knowledge. Therefore, people would exclude post traumatic stress disorder as the cause, or at least reduce the possibility of it. So, now let’s take a look at diabetes, since this illness has an affect on the nerves. The shortage of insulin creates other problems too, but many people with diabetes will become upset for little or no reason at all.

However, most people do not act angrily, assault, insult or attack others . If we examine the reason crimes are committed, we see that very often, serious behavioural problems come from lying. Therefore, when we look at this woman’s case again, we can see that we have to deal with the underlying problems ie to stop her from lying and get her to move forward, avoiding bouts of frustration, anxiety and anger by employing an anger management technique.

Now, this person is in denial, which means that until the legal system makes her take steps to anger management technique, then she probably will not get seek herself. Furthermore, even if the criminal justice system does force her to get help, it probably will not work, since her denial has existed for probably many years. Now we are dealing with a real problem in anger management technique , since her behaviour is life long, which means extensive therapy will berequired.

Anger is a normal emotion, but when it interferes with someone else’s life, it becomes a serious problem. This person is not hurting only one person, she is injuring society as a whole, because when she steals or writes bad checks, society picks up the tab with tax increases, as well as other levies. One of the biggest things that I have noticed with this type of person, is that the system and society allows it to continue; only attempting to deal with it when the person is in custody. Once the person is released, then it starts again. This is a chain of events involving lack of control due to anger mis-management and bad anger management technique.
